The Old Forge
The Old Forge is one of Coddington’s five listed buildings. It is on the right a little way along Balderton Lane as you head out of the village.
It is an 18th century two-storey brick cottage with gable chimney stacks and glazing bar sashes and pantile roof. No forge buildings remain.
We do not know which blacksmiths were associated with the Old Forge. See here for a list of Coddington blacksmiths in the 19th century.
