Landowner, whose will led to long running court case (William) Ashwell v (Michael) Ashwell over the inheritance of his widow and daughter Mary Ann Cadman nee Ashwell. Many trustees involved over time. In 28.4.1897 134a + 41a land at Coddington sold to J Thorpe - part of title to field 41 (to W of Drove Lane) in Lot 6 Farm, 1918 Sale.
